  Wall Spider (Oecobius sp)

This small spider is only two or three mm in length. Often found indoors high up where wall meets ceiling. To give some idea of size, the background is the inside rim of the lid of a small jar of Heinz baby food.

WALL SPIDER FACTS

Description
The Wall Spider is a tiny pale brown mottled, semi-translucent spiders. Indoors, these tiny spiders look like untidy spots of dust around edge of ceiling. They live in a small tangled web.

Size
female 3mm, male 2mm

Habitat
Common in settled areas. Often found inside houses around cornicing and architraves.

Food
tiny insects that they catch in their web
