WOOD GECKO FACTS

Description
The Wood Gecko is a small nocturnal gecko. It is brown or brownish grey with zigzag or notched stipe along back and tail.

Other Names
Stone Gecko, Eastern Stone Gecko

Size
about 6 cm excluding tail

Habitat
forest, shrubland, semi-arid regions where it shelters under rocks or logs.

Food
insects

Breeding
female lays several clutches of 2 eggs in spring and summer

Range
found in eastern and southern Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and southern parts of South Australia
