STOKE'S SKINK FACTS

Description
Stoke's Skink is a stocky skink with short legs. It varies in colour from reddish brown to greyish green, with scattering of pale spots. The tail is spiny and flattish. They are usually found in family groups of adults and juveniles living together.

up to 19cm excluding tail

Habitat
woodland, shrubland, grassland. They shelter in rock crevices and under logs

Food
insects and some plant matter

Breeding
The female gives birth to litters of one to eight live young in summer

Range
found in semi arid regions of New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
