KING'S SKINK FACTS

Description
King's Skink is a sturdy dark grey, black or dark brown skink from coastal Western Australia. The under side is pale. Juveniles are marked with cream to yellow dots and streaks.

Size
up to 55 cm including tail

Habitat
coastal heath, woodlands, rocky outcrops

Food
mainly plants, also insects and birds eggs

Breeding
The female gives birth to litters of two to eight live young in late summer or early autumn

Range
south-west parts of Western Australia
