Description
The Blue Mountain Water Skink is an endangered skink from the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales. It is dark brown with rows of pale spots on either side of the spine. The head is brown with black markings. The underside is cream or yellow with small dark markings

Blue Mountains swamp-skink

Size
about 8 cm excluding tail. The tail is about 12 cm long

Habitat
highland peat swamps , sedge, shrub swamps

Food
mainly insects

Breeding
Females give birth to live young in late December

Range
Blue Mountains west of Sydney, New South Wales
