Identification Bank's Brown Butterfly has a single bold eyespot on upper surface of hindwing and a less distinct single eyespot on the underside of the hindwing. Male and female butterflies are similar size and have similar markings.

Habitat open forest, rainforest, forested slopes on the ranges
Food larvae feeds on various species of grasses
Range south east Queensland, eastern New South Wales and eastern half of Victoria.
