STRIATED PARDALOTE FACTS

Description
Body green-grey with a yellow throat. Top of head black with white streaks. White stripe above the eye; yellow spot in front of the eye. Wings black with a white edge and a red or yellow spot. Body up to 12 cm long.

Striated Pardalotes feed on insects and insect larvae in eucalypt trees. They nest in holes in the ground or tree hollows. Their call is a loud 'chip-chip-chip'.
