SHY ALBATROSS FACTS

Description
Body white, top of wings dark brown. Head grey to white. Bill stout, tip yellow and upper bill curves down at the tip. Body up to 1.4 m long.

Shy Albatrosses are the only albatross to breed in Australia and only in a few locations. They breed from September to April. Their wingspan can reach over 2 m.

Coastlines, large bays and open seas.

Food
Carnivore

Range
Southern mainland Australia and Tasmania.
