Description The Blue-tailed Skink is a small, slender lizard. It has a brown body and a light blue tail native to Christmas Island. It was last seen in the wild in 2010 and is presumed extinct in the wild. A captive breeding program on Christmas Island and at Taronga Zoo has been very successful in maintaining the species in captivity.
