SILVER SWEEP FACTS |
Description Body grey, darker above and more silver below. Gill covering (operculum) with black edge. Outer edge of tail fin black. Up to 30 cm long head to tail tip.
Silver Sweep are a schooling species. They sometimes enter estuaries, and juveniles are common in rock pools on the coast.

Habitat Exposed coastal and rocky reef areas, to depth of 30 m.
