LEWIN'S HONEYEATER FACTS |
Description Lewin's Honeyeater is a medium sized honeyeater with greenish grey plumage, with a creamy yellow gape and large, yellowish crescent-shaped ear patches.
Size 21cm
Habitat Rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest
Food berries, small fruits, insects and nectar
Breeding The nest is a large cup of vegetation bound together with spider web and lined with soft material. Lays 2-3 eggs.
Range eastern Australia, from northern Queensland to central Victoria
